Amber Moore (that’s Amberleigh Moore to ProRodeo fans) visits with host Kayla Jones on The Money Barrel.
Moore has qualified four times to the National Finals Rodeo, but it was her NFR appearance in 2016 that solidified her fame on a national level. Moore nosed across the finish line of NFR qualificaiton after an end-of-season push in the No. 15 position and finished out the season in the No. 2 position after an incredible showing at the NFR on CP Dark Moon. “Paige,” as the nearly-black mare is known, wowed audiences in Las Vegas and at home due to her insane speed and the athleticism both she and Moore displayed all 10 rounds and now has over $1 million in career earnings.
Moore shares the mare’s backstory and updates listeners on her younger horses, including A French Silhouette, one of Paige’s progeny. She also discusses her background and how she came to the world of professional barrel racing.
