Following the completion of two go rounds of competition in the Denver Coliseum at the National Western Stock Show Rodeo, the top barrel racers clocking the 24 fastest cumulative times have advanced to the semi-finals taking place January 22. Eight barrel racers will run in each of the performances on January 22; the first at 11 am, the second a 3:30 pm matinee, and the third at 8 in the evening. Each runner will attempt to secure a top 4 finish in their perf to advance to the Finals on January 23 at 2 pm where they will gun for a piece of the $53,875 in added prize money.
Turquoise Circuit Champion Shannon McReynolds dominated in round one with a 14.72 to win it by more than four tenths of a second.
