“Let ‘er Buck!” The Pendleton Round-Up Headlines This Week’s ProRodeo Tracker

Little more than two weeks remain in the regular season as ProRodeo athletes attempt to hold their ground in the top 15.
Kacey Gartner leads round one at the 2022 Pendleton Round-Up.

For bubble barrel racers hoping to keep or gain a spot inside the top 15 in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings, the outcome of the next two and a half weeks is crucial. Chances have grown slim to secure ProRodeo Circuit Finals qualifications and year-end titles as September ticks to an end.

While the largest payout available in the month of September was the $74,500 NFR Playoff Series Finale, perhaps no end-of-season rodeo is as highly anticipated as the Pendleton Round-Up in Oregon where barrel racers braved the green mile hoping to run down a portion of the $40,000 in added prize money. National Finals Rodeo regular Lisa Lockhart won a combined $6,617 from Pendleton, Othello and Albuquerque to narrow the roughly $8,400 deficit from 15th that she had according to last week’s standings. Michelle Darling is holding strong at No. 15 with $79,572. Lockhart is now $2,000 away from the NFR qualifying line.
