Jimmie Smith-Tew
Jimmie Smith-Tew is an NFR barrel racing qualifier, and prior to her 2020 qualification, earned the title of 2018 WPRA Resistol Rookie of the Year on her great mare, Lena On The Rocks. She also graduated from Texas A&M in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in communications and journalism. Smith-Tew is not only a top barrel race, she is also an avid breakaway roper and continues to travel heavily up and down the ProRodeo trail in hopes of returning to the NFR. She brings a unique perspective of the sport—straight from the arena dirt as she interacts with fellow top-tier athletes—to fans.
